A record-setting night: Kings buzz Hornets by 30

The Sacramento Kings set a franchise record Friday night when they dropped 22 three-pointers on the Charlotte Hornets as they ran away with a dominant 140-110 victory at the Golden 1 Center. The win moved Sacramento to a solid 5-4 record for the season and 2.0 on the homestand.


Let’s just touch on some of the highlights from this amazing night :

  • 22-of-44 on three-pointers

  • Richaun Holmes scored 23 points and grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds

  • Buddy Hield dropped eight three-pointers to finish with 26 points

  • Sacramento outrebounded Charlotte by a crazy 56-28 mark

  • Seven Kings scored in double-figures

  • Sacramento shot 55.2% from the field for the game

  • Every King who saw court time Friday night was a positive +/-

  • Chimezie Metu made his season debut and made the record-setting three-pointer in the final minute
