The Sacramento Kings woke up Monday night and battled their way to a hard-fought 127-122 win over the Indiana pacers at the Golden 1 Center. The victory moved the squad to within one game of the .500 mark at 5-6.
Harrison Barnes led the way with an efficient 30 points on 10-of-14 shooting to go along with eight rebounds. While not flashy, the 9-year veteran was steady all night sinking shots whenever the team needed them the most.
De’Aaron Fox had 21 points, nine assists, and five rebounds, while Buddy Hield dropped six threes for 18.
Richaun Holmes returned from missing the last game with a sore ankle to contribute 16 points, 10 rebounds, and a career-high six blocked shots.
Sacramento shot 56 percent for the game.
The Portland Trail Blazers return to the Golden 1 Center Wednesday night for a rematch after they throttled the Kings on Saturday. Hopefully, Monday night’s version of the home team will show up for the revenge game.
